The Cebu Tourist is not affiliated to Bureau of Immigration, nor can we answer official queries related to any other Philippine Government agencies

If you approched by a fixer (unauthorised agent) or government official, offering to expedite (fast track) your visa for cash away from the office or near, even if in an initial government office, kindly decline, you will likely be charged considerably more up to 50%.  If it appears out of the ordinary, it probably is

To report or complain about a fixer (unauthorised agent) or government official, forward your concern/complaint to the Presidential Complaint Center at [email protected] or 8888 Citizens’ Complaint Center at https://8888.gov.ph/file-a-complaint/

If you need a visa prior to arrival and are eligible or cannot or prefer not to visit your nearest Philippine Embassy, you can process the required visa online at: https://www.visa.gov.ph/

Where to stay in Cebu City?

We recommend hotels near to Ayala Center Mall and Terraces, I.T. Park, SM City Mall Cebu City, and Madaue City, where there is already a concentration of quality 3 star to 5 star Hotels and Premium High-Rise Condo’s.  International tourists prefer those areas because of the appealing location, business friendly hotels with fast reliable WIFI and the cosmopolitan vibe.

This area in Cebu is also conveniently located near to a good selection of reputable money changers at I.T. Park, Fuente Osmeña Circle, Mango Square and inside SM City Mall, all just a very walk or short taxi ride away, including 24 hour Money Changers.
